Istishraf is an Arabic word for the act of ascending to higher ground to see one's surroundings.
Coaching supervision is the oversight of the coaching process itself. It lets supervisor and supervisee explore, learn and analyze what is happening in the coaching relationship, and what needs to be aligned, restored, normalized, formalized or evaluated.
After three years of development, Istishraf brings coaching supervision to the highest ICF standard.
Your four paths in supervision
For credentialed coaches ready to supervise other coaches, individually and in groups, and to build a recognized supervision practice.
Weekly live sessions
36 faculty-led group sessions build theory and reflection, using art as a second language for insight.
Triad practice
You supervise peers under faculty observation, with structured feedback after each round.
Real supervision
You supervise 6 coaches of your own, 36 hours in all, with a written reflection after every session.
You are supervised
2 hours as a supervision client and 4 hours of supervision on your supervision, with one allocated supervisor.

Paced so you can keep living your normal life. Practical, so you can work with coaches from the second month.
Built for our region, grounded in research
Intercultural by design
GTA is a global intercultural community where East and West learn as equals, so the training never feels detached from who you are.
Academically researched
Grounded in authentic books and articles on adult development, behavioural science, psychology, and coaching theory and practice.
A heritage of our own
We learn from English-speaking supervisors' methods and from our local heritage. Istishraf means we ascend together, on equal footing.
Learning by doing
Observed demos, recordings, triad practice, supervising the supervisor, and session-by-session hands-on training.
Clinical depth
Supervisors learn to recognize mental, developmental and psychological boundaries, and help coaches evaluate cases.
Group & team expertise
Group supervision taught by faculty who teach ICF's Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC).
Bring your practice to supervision
A safe, confidential space to reflect on a client case, an ethical question or a difficult moment, and leave with clarity in service of your client.
