Mentor Coaching Agreement

Terms for the ROSHD Mentor Coaching program (group and individual) purchased from Global Talent Academy.

1. The agreement

This agreement is between Global Talent Academy LLC, represented by your Mentor Coach, and you, the mentee. It covers the ROSHD Mentor Coaching program you purchase, from the date of purchase until your ten mentor coaching hours are completed.

2. What mentor coaching is

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines Mentor Coaching as providing professional assistance in achieving and demonstrating the level of coaching competency required by the credential level the mentee is seeking. The mentee is coached on their coaching skills, rather than on practice building, life balance or other topics unrelated to the development of their coaching skills.

3. Program format

  • 10 hours of mentor coaching over no less than three months: 7 group hours and 3 individual hours, in 60-minute sessions on Zoom.
  • The individual hours include a review of recordings and transcripts of coaching sessions you conduct, with verbal and/or written feedback.
  • Groups have no more than 10 mentees per Mentor Coach, in line with ICF requirements.
  • Mentoring does not include any assessment or additional work outside the agreed sessions.

4. Scheduling and cancellation

  • Group sessions are scheduled in agreement with the group. Individual sessions are booked through the scheduling link, and the Zoom link is sent when the session is booked.
  • Give at least 12 hours’ notice to cancel. Individual sessions can then be rescheduled; group sessions go ahead as scheduled, out of consideration for the group.
  • A late cancellation or a missed session is counted in full, and the group continues without you.
  • If your mentoring hours fall below ten, you can purchase an additional individual hour at USD 100 to complete them.
  • Any session the Mentor Coach cancels is rescheduled at no cost to you.

5. As the mentee, I commit to

  • Attend and complete the ten hours within the agreed period. Not keeping this commitment may prevent me from achieving my goals; I take personal responsibility for that and can work with the Mentor Coach on solutions.
  • Apply, learn and practise the feedback between sessions, and read and research to deepen my learning.
  • Obtain written permission from my coaching client before recording a session and sharing it with the Mentor Coach (and with the group, if it is reviewed in a group session), in line with the ICF Code of Ethics, and remove identifying details wherever possible.
  • Keep confidential everything shared by other group members, including their names, recordings and the content of their sessions, and not record group sessions myself.
  • Take full responsibility for my physical, mental and emotional well-being during sessions and communications, and for the choices and decisions I make.
  • Confirm that I am not currently in psychotherapy, under psychiatric supervision or in therapy sessions, and inform the Mentor Coach if I intend to begin any.
  • Use these hours in my ICF credential application, naming the Mentor Coach as my mentor, and authorise the Mentor Coach to contact ICF to confirm my ten hours.

6. The Mentor Coach commits to

  • Explore fully what you are looking to achieve, agree the purpose of the mentoring and set measures of success with you.
  • Discuss fees, time frame and all other aspects of the mentoring relationship, as set out in this agreement.
  • Inform you about the ICF Code of Ethics and the ICF Ethical Conduct Review Board.
  • Encourage you to interview more than one mentor coach before contracting.
  • Make no guarantee that you will obtain the credential level you are seeking.
  • Focus on core competency development by reviewing your coaching sessions one at a time, with feedback after each and time between them to integrate your learning.
  • Give specific verbal and/or written feedback with examples, so you know what you do well and what is needed for a deeper level of mastery.
  • Listen equally for strengths and areas for growth, and respect your unique style, culture and language.
  • Deliver feedback in a safe, trusting and judgment-free space, using competency-based language and naming the gap to the next skill level.
  • Use the ICF assessment tools (Session Observation and Competency Review forms) and document observations accurately and confidentially.
  • Hold both of us accountable, and invite regular mutual review of how the mentoring is working.
  • Issue a Mentor Coaching completion letter confirming your ten hours, their dates and the Mentor Coach’s credential, for your ICF application.

7. Confidentiality and records

  • Everything shared in sessions and correspondence is confidential, except what you disclose yourself, what you permit in writing, or what the law requires to be reported.
  • Global Talent Academy does not keep your recordings, transcripts or session notes after the program ends. Completed assessment forms and the completion letter are given to you to keep for your ICF application or audit.
  • The only record kept is the testimonial you choose to provide, published with your name and credential only with your consent.
  • This agreement is governed by the laws of the United States of America, under which Global Talent Academy LLC operates, and by the laws of the country where you live and practise.

8. What mentoring is not

  • Mentoring is different from coaching, counselling and therapy. It includes no diagnosis of any psychological disorder and is not appropriate for psychological or therapeutic treatment.
  • It is not a substitute for legal, medical, psychological, financial, business or religious advice. All decisions you make are your own.
  • It does not guarantee that you will obtain an ICF credential.

9. Fees and ending the agreement

The fee is the price of the ROSHD package you purchase on this website. Fees are non-refundable once paid, and may be applied to a new agreement in the future. You may end the agreement at any time; paid fees are not refunded, and any sessions due but not yet paid must be settled.

10. Acceptance

By ticking the agreement box at checkout, you confirm that you have read and accept this agreement. Your acceptance is recorded with your order.
